subblue 3D Mandelbulb Raytracer Filter for Photoshop & After Effects

Check out this very surreal and calming video. All of the graphics were generated using a 3D Mandelbulb Raytracer written as a Pixel Bender filter by Tom over at subblue. It works in After Effects but can run fairly slow since all of the calculations are done on the CPU. Apple users can view the 3D fractals in real time using Quartz Composer which uses the GPU for the calculations. To install in After Effects just copy the .pbk files into a Pixel Bender folder in the plugins directory. To install in Photoshop, you will need to download and install the Pixel Bender (x86 | x64) plugin in the Adobe Extension Manager. Once installed, just copy the .pbk files into the folder \Adobe Photoshop CS4\Pixel Bender Files\. You can run the filter(s) in Photoshop by choosing Filter > Pixel Bender > Pixel Bender Gallery. Download the 3D Mandelbulb Ray Tracer.

“The entire film is created from two sequences of continuously morphing Mandelbulb fractals. The rendering was made using a plugin I am developing for After Effects.”

QB Colt McCoy has been thrilled with the turnout and work accomplished at Camp Colt IV, which included defensive players for the first time. About 30 players traveled here for the first full-squad workouts of the off-season. Several more were expected to arrive Monday night for Tuesday’s session. “It has been great,” McCoy wore Custom NFL Jerseys and said. “I commend all of my teammates for putting in the time, the energy and the effort to get here and work so hard. Some of these guys are not used to the Texas heat, but we still got a lot of good, efficient work in.” “It was great to have the defensive guys here,” McCoy wore Cheap NFL Jerseys and said. “It is one thing to throw one-on-ones and individual routes, and understand the plays and stuff, but it is a whole different ballgame when you start playing real 7-on-7 and you have got all the guys here to do it. That really makes a difference.” You can log on our Custom Jerseys Shop and select our best quality Bears Jerseys if you are true fans of Colt McCoy and Cleveland Browns.
